    DEATHLY HALLOWS RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCED
    Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows


    J.K.Rowling.com has been updated to announce that the last Harry Potter Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, will be released on JULY 21, 2007. Pre-order at Amazon or B&N. (digg this)

    Scholastic, the US publishers, will sell the book for $34.99; it will be illustrated by Mary GrandPre, the artist who illustrated all six previous books. They will also release a $39.99 reinforced library edition and a $65 special edition at the same time. British publishers Bloomsbury said via press release that it will sell the hardcover for 17.99 GBP, and will also release a special gift edition and a joint audio book.


    The news item came quickest via J.K. Rowling's site at 7 a.m, which simply read:


    "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows will be published on Saturday 21st July 2007 at 00:01 BST in the UK and at 00:01 in the USA. It will also be released at 00:01 BST on Saturday 21st July in other English speaking countries around the world.

    In making the announcement, Lisa Holton, President of Scholastic Children’s Books said, "We are thrilled to announce the publication date of the seventh installment in this remarkable series. We join J.K. Rowling's millions of readers - young and old, veterans and newcomers - in anticipating what lies ahead."

    Nachdem in letzter Zeit immer wieder neue Informationen und Gerüchte bezüglich der Seitenanzahl des siebten und letzten Harry-Potter-Bandes zu Tage kamen (wir berichteten), können wir Dir heute offiziell bestätigen, dass die amerikanische Ausgabe von "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" genau 784 Seiten haben wird. Das heute aufkommende Gerücht von Waterstones, dass Band 7, ebenso wie der "Halbblutprinz", 608 Seiten haben soll, gilt demnach auch als dementiert.


    Erfahrungsgemäß wird die britische Ausgabe vom Bloomsbury-Verlag, die auch in Deutschland erhältlich sein wird, etwas über 700 Seiten lang sein. Demzufolge war die Seitenangabe vom Weltbild-Verlag vom Wochenende gar nicht so falsch.


    Wenn die genaue Seitenanzahl der britischen Version von "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" feststeht, werden wir es Dir umgehend berichten.

    knapp 100 amerikanische seiten weniger als der phoenix. ich gehe also in der deutschen fassung von ca. 900 seiten aus.

    Die deutschsprachige Ausgabe von "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" wird am Samstag, den 27. Oktober 2007 in den Handel kommen!


    Auch wenn der deutsche Titel des siebenten Bandes noch nicht feststeht, so ist doch sicher, dass die Übersetzung wieder Klaus Fritz übernimmt und die Coverillustration von Sabine Wilharm gestaltet wird.


    Sicherlich werden wir auch bald erfahren, ob und wann die inzwischen bereits traditionelle Abstimmung zum Cover auch diesmal wieder stattfinden wird.


    Der Verkaufspreis wird mit 24,90 Euro und die Seitenanzahl mit 736 Seiten angegeben. Eine kurze Inhaltsangabe zum Buch wurde ebenfalls bereits dort vorgestellt.
